EMDR: Training versus Certification
EMDR Certification is an advanced credential for clinicians practicing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Finding an Approved Consultant
I am an EMDR Certified Therapist and EMDRIA Approved Consultant. When selecting a consultant to work with towards your EMDR certification, an important consideration is how much familiarity the consultant has in using EMDR with the client population that you work with (e.g. children, adults with childhood trauma, substance use and so on). Just like selecting a therapist, fit is as important as skill. My experience and expertise is with substance use, dissociative disorders, adults with attachment disruption and childhood trauma, and psychosis. I look forward to working with you!

Individual Consultation for Certification
EMDRIA requires a minimum of 20 hours of consultation post-Basic Training in order to become certified in EMDR. The goal of consultation is to discuss any challenges with application of EMDR in your clinical setting, and to practice implementation of EMDR's eight phases with fidelity to Standard Protocol.

Group Consultation for Certification
Although consultation towards EMDR certification may be completed through individual supervision alone, group consultation provides an additional opportunity to share and collaborate with other EMDR trained clinicians who are overcoming the same challenges.

Rate: $500 for 10 hours of Group Consultation, held via Zoom two hours per month over five months.
