REGISTER FOR BASIC TRAINING IN EMDR
Please download and submit the following:

Basic Training Registration Application.

A signed and dated copy of the Participant's Agreement Form.

A current copy of your CV or resume.

A copy of your current professional license OR If you are not licensed for independent practice, include the additional documentation described in the Non Licensed Applicant Instructions.

Include your personal check, cashier’s check or money order (payable to "Christina Viani LMFT") or complete the installment contract form on page three of the Individual Registration Application Form. See the application form for payment details

Note: Incomplete registrations will not be processed and will face delays. We are happy to answer any questions you have about the training or registration process.
After submitting your registration application, we encourage you to download the Pre-training Reading List (the last link below) and order the two books you will need for this training.
EMDR Basic Training Requirements and Eligibility

Licensed Mental Health Professionals
Medical Doctors: Must be licensed to practice in their state or province.
Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs): Must have a Master of Science in Nursing (or higher) specializing in psychiatric mental health and hold a valid license.
Mental Health Clinicians: Must have a master’s degree in a mental health field (e.g., Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Psychiatry, Social Work) and be fully licensed to practice.
Note: Individuals with only a chemical dependency or substance abuse license do not qualify, as these do not include a mental health scope of practice.

Pre-Licensed Therapists working under supervision towards licensure
Eligible individuals:

Hold a master’s degree in a mental health field.

Are pursuing licensure through their state or provincial board.

Have a designation such as associate, intern, limited, provisional, temporary, or pre-license.

Graduate Students in Mental Health Fields
Eligible Individuals:

Enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program in a mental health field (e.g., Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Psychiatry, Psychiatric Nursing, Social Work).

Have completed core academic coursework and are currently in the practicum or internship phase of their program. (First-year graduate students are not eligible.)

Are on a licensing track and working under the supervision of a fully licensed mental health clinician.

Additional Documentation Required: Graduate students must provide verification of eligibility, including: Graduate transcript Practicum/internship details plus a letter from their supervisor with licensing information
Note: Students do not need to submit documents to EMDRIA unless specifically requested but should provide them to the training provider during registration.
